  1. Hi Mark I think that baby pic you showed was great lets see more lol. I have a question about UV lights. On average if you leave your light up and running 24/7 how many hours are they effective? I was told approx.1200.Thanks for you help.Your videos are very helpful and informative.

  2. Hi Joe,
Thanks for the compliments but no more pics of me thank you:)

That number on the uv light sounds reasonable. I suspect, like all things, this could be variable somewhat but some manufacturers suggest changing these every season. To me this can get costly and let’s just say this…if the system works as you want when you put it in, then run it until you have a problem again or the light is no longer working at all…then change it for a new one.

This probably isn’t the recommended approach embraced by everyone but to me it makes the most sense for your budget and for practical use of a uv.

  3. Hi Diane,
Ok, so I’m biased and I need to state that at the outset here.

Depending on your pond size I like our product the best. For small ponds you would use the 2500 system and for larger ponds the biosphere pro product. If you look at the links on the left side of the page you’ll see “small pond products” and will find the 2500 system there.

With that said, there are many good bacteria formulas on the market today. They are certainly not all identical but similar in what they do. The main thing…find one you like and that works and stick with it.

    All the best,
    Mark
