Oxy-Lift Defense Pond Cleaner – New Product News

I’ve talked a lot over the years about oxidizing pond cleaners in various forms and I’m happy to report that we’ve come across a great new tool in this lineup that seems to be doing a bang up job of clearing unwanted growth from waterfall streams and rocks. You can also try spot treating areas in the pond as well.

Oxidizers work through the power of peroxide. When this comes in contact with water it will fizz and lightly damage plants that it comes in contact with. It can also loosen decayed matter and other gunk from rocks as well. Now this isn’t something you’d want to apply on a desirable lily for example but it can be very targeted and directed to what you want to clean up, which is one reason I like this approach so much.

When used as directed it safe for fish and wildlife and will become inert quickly while it actually adds oxygen to the water.

  1. Hi Mark love all your talks and helps about our ponds. I have a question. I heard the other day that when you put any kind of water treatment into ponds, that you should shut off your UV light for approx. 48 hr. as the light will kill the effectivness of the product you put in the pond. I would love your input on this. Thanks Joe
