As a small business owner I can tell you point blank, that we would be nothing without our customers. And thankfully we have a lot of very loyal, regular customers who use our products in their ponds.
With this in mind, over the last year or so, we’ve upgraded our online shopping cart system and while it was quite an effort, we’ve worked out virtually all the major bugs and since that’s been accomplished, we’re now moving on to something that will be a sort of “payback” to all of you who have worked with us over the years.
I’ve been wanting to do a customer loyalty, or rewards program for some time and within the next few weeks, this program will become a reality. So with every purchase you make, with every dollar spent, you’ll be able to accrue points that can be redeemed in future purchases and it’s the best way we know to help you save more when caring for you pond!
Actually points on purchases have been accruing for about a week now, and if you’ve set up a customer account previously, you’ll see the points tally listed on your account page once you’ve logged in.
Our P.O.P program works something like this. Every product has a point value assigned to it. This is listed on the individual product pages, and it will be displayed in your shopping cart as well. You don’t have to do anything special to get the points, it all happens automatically when you make a purchase.
Let me take that back a bit. Actually you do have to do one thing if you want to keep track of the points and use them later, and so it’s necessary to create a customer account. It’s easy to do and one other benefit is you’ll find tracking information on current orders as well as an order history there to. It makes checking out quite a bit quicker as well.
So back to the Points On Purchase program.
The points are equal to a 5% credit (and available on future purchases) on every dollar spent. They are available to use within 120 days of the purchase date. Redeeming the points is pretty easy too. During checkout, under the method of payment drop down box, you’ll see several options listed. This includes credit card, Paypal, and Rewards Points. Simply click on the “points” option and you’ll see a total points available appear below this.
Hit the apply button and your points will be automatically calculated and applied. Then any remaining charges can be applied to either a credit card or Paypal by selecting one of those from the drop down list and checking out as you normally would.
In addition to getting points on every purchase, you can also get 100 points added to your account by posting honest reviews of our products. Of course we hope you like them and find them to be of great benefit to your pond, but honesty is the most important thing so we’d love to hear your opinion! On every product page you’ll find a link where you can add your review and comments…and earn extra points by doing so!
At this point, we’ve tested everything out and it seems to be working very well. As good as technology might be however, you just never know what can happen when something is in full use, so bear with us a glitch or two pop up. We’ll be on it right away to fix it as soon as possible.
